Graduates placed in 2022
With the end of the year nearing, we want to reflect on the placements we’ve made this year and how they help people get their careers off the ground.
We know how daunting leaving education can be, whether after finishing your apprenticeship or masters. This year we’ve made it one of our goals to help as many graduates as we can find their way into the construction industry.
Only 60% of engineering graduates end up working in the engineering industry after finishing university because of how competitive and selective the job finding process can be. We know this won’t stop construction graduates though, as to get through some of the most demanding degrees they have to be pretty tough.
The engineering and architecture industries offer a huge variety of opportunities to graduates, as there are hundreds of different roles all in diverse settings, roles which often are particular to a certain type of graduate. These jobs are some of the most in demand in the UK, as advancements in construction and technology are always being made. This means there’s plenty of competition, and so we help graduates get their voice heard amongst their peers.
Over 2022 we’ve helped place part 1 and 2 architectural assistants, graduate engineers, and junior and graduate architectural technologists, making a total of 85 graduate placements this year! Using a recruitment agency (like us ) means that you’ll be the first to hear about new roles for graduates. Not only do we help graduates find the perfect job, but we also prepare them for the beginnings of their career, with counselling on their CV and portfolio, and interview skills.
We love graduates here at Konker, and if you don’t already, here’s why you should! The New Civil Engineer announced their Graduate and Apprentice awards for 2022, and out of 121 entries, Nicola Graham of WSP came out top with Graduate of the Year. Nicola has also recently assumed the role of Professional Growth Network Lead for Chancery Lane.
